The President of the Southeastern Anatolia Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association highlighted the global decline in sugar stocks and the increase in sugar beet cultivation in Turkey. He emphasized the importance of sugar as a raw material in food exports, predicting that it will maintain its place in food security in 2024. Additionally, he noted the high interest of Turkish farmers in sugar beet cultivation and the positive yield they have had this year, attributing it to the value placed on the product and the guidance provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
