The article highlights a report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that details a rise in the average prices of ten cereals in Poland for the week of October 25-31, 2021, with the exception of maize, which experienced a slight decrease before rising again. Feed wheat was the only grain to become cheaper, dropping from a historic peak of PLN 1110 / t to PLN 1102 / t, while the national average price of wheat for consumption rose by 2.5% to a record-breaking PLN 1107 / t. These price increases have led to a significant year-on-year increase in the cost of grains, with wheat and maize seeing rises of 36% and 33% respectively, and all grains, except maize, reaching new highs in terms of long-term price records.
