The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced the completion of its 2022 national survey for potato wart, which involved testing nearly 1,500 soil samples from fields across Canada. The survey, which aimed to contain and control the spread of potato wart, did not detect the disease in any of the samples. The results of the survey will be shared with the USDA APHIS and the Canadian Potato Council. The CFIA will continue to monitor for potato wart and use science to guide its decision-making.
