Tridge summary

According to the Chamber, the harvest of corn for grain is advanced, although there is still a lot of grain left in the fields in the east and south-east of the country. "It is estimated that in this part of the country the advancement of the harvest is about 70 percent. A lot of grain is still to be harvested in the center of the country. In turn, in the regions in the north of the country, corn has been harvested from over 90 percent of the area, and in the west - from approx. 95 percent of the area. There are many indications that the corn harvest will last until the end of November this year." - stated in the newsletter. Significant advancement of the harvest resulted in significant saturation of the market with maize and significant decreases in prices. Currently, the prices of wet corn (30% moisture content) are in the range of PLN 770-900/t, so they cost PLN 70-80/t less than a week ago. Depending on the region of the country, compared to the previous week, the prices of cereals (especially wheat) with delivery fell by several dozen zlotys.

Moreover, the prices of grain in ports are still close to the parity of the domestic market, which does not encourage suppliers to sell it for export.
