Eggs showed the largest drop, with a reduction of 11.8%, going from R$ 1.15 to R$ 1.02 per dozen. Rice fell 5.7%, from R$ 5.82 to R$ 5.49, while beans decreased 2.7%, with the average price from R$ 6.86 to R$ 6.68. In the South, this trend was repeated, with emphasis on eggs (-7.7%), rice (-6.6%), and beans (-5.9%). On the other hand, items such as ground and whole coffee beans registered a 3.7% increase in the month, due to the 2024 crop failure caused by adverse weather and export valorization.
