France: While cheese and dairy products from elsewhere are increasingly attractive, transparency on origin and production remains essential

250 exhibitors, 8,500 buyers from 56 countries, the Cheese and Dairy Products Fair launched its 17th edition on Sunday February 27 in Paris. During this unique event, which will be held until March 2, professionals from all over the world meet and discuss authentic know-how. For this 2022 edition, the Cheese and Dairy Products Fair has expanded its offer by welcoming 28% of new companies. Among the latter, there were for example: Fromagerie d'Arvor (organic cheeses), Ferme des Peupliers (producer of farm yoghurts), Alma (producer of Austrian cheeses), Avrillon (designer of cheese machinery). New “small producers” were also present: Fromagerie Le Larry (Belgium), Fromages de Cocagne, Gaec des Hounts, Laiterie artisanal de la Cotière… At the same time, this year, the show highlighted Italian cheeses and dairy products. With 400 cheeses including 50 PDO and 2 IPG, Italy's cheese reputation is second to none. France is also one of the main destinations for Italian cheese exports. ...
