The vaccination campaign of 2026 against Contagious Nodular Dermatosis (DNC) has officially begun in France, with the objective of guaranteeing the vaccination coverage of all cattle in the former regulated zones, throughout the summer and the period of vector activity. This measure aims to limit the risk of a resurgence of the disease, which to date has not presented outbreaks in France since January 2, 2026. Success of the First Campaign and New Strategy The success of the first vaccination campaign, launched in July 2025, has led the French State to maintain continuous vigilance. The goal is to ensure that the entire cattle population in the vaccination zones maintains immunization coverage until the summer of 2026.
