From a production point of view, an excellent vintage is also looming for the Chestnut of Monte Amiata Igp, as in much of Italy. Confirming these fears is among others Andrea Ulivieri, owner of the Perelle company in Castel del Piano (Grosseto). Ulivieri, who has started the harvest in these days, explains: “The countryside looks very good. As far as we are concerned, the characteristics of the soil on which I am located have preserved the plants even during the great heat of last summer. The curls are therefore abundant and also the size is excellent: the first ones I collected are 79 per kilo, which is very good in this respect ".
