The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported a decrease in poultry production in January compared to the previous year. Chicken meat production was down by 3.8%, resulting in a total of 191,807 tons. Chicken egg production also saw a slight decrease of 1.1% on a monthly basis, but an increase of 3.3% compared to the same month the previous year. The number of chickens slaughtered also decreased by 6%, with a recorded total of 104 million 490 thousand units. However, due to lack of reliable data from regions affected by earthquakes, there were temporary applications in statistical production processes.
