Türkiye's chicken meat production saw a 2.3% increase in October compared to the same month in 2021, reaching over 201,000 tons. The number of slaughtered chickens also rose by 1.6% year-on-year. However, turkey meat production decreased by 18.8% to 3,800 tons. Hen egg production also increased by 4.5% to 1.7 billion units. From January to October, chicken meat production grew by 9.5% to 2 million tons. In contrast, cow’s milk collection for dairy enterprises decreased by 9.6% in October, and drinking milk production also fell by 24%. Butter output also decreased by over 27%, while yoghurt production saw a slight decrease of 3.9%.
