The project "Evaluation of improved lines native potato (national phytogenetic heritage) adapted to new stress conditions hydro and thermal with greater commercial value of the product" has successfully developed three new varieties of potatoes with variegated, purple, and red flesh. The varieties – Nebulosa, Galaxia, and Centifolia – were genetically improved to adapt to high temperatures and drought. The project was supported by the Foundation for Agrarian Innovation (FIA) and executed by the Institute of Production and Plant Health (IPSV) at the Austral University of Chile.
