In the first quarter of 2024, Chile saw a significant boost in its fresh fruit exports, totaling 1,016,891 tons, a 13% increase from the previous year. The surge was led by table grapes, cherries, and plums, with the Far East being the largest market. The United States and China were the top destinations, with cherries being particularly popular in China and table grapes in the US. Additionally, plum exports to Asia experienced a notable rise, reaching 16 million boxes. To ensure these exports met international standards, the SAG issued over 60,000 certificates.
