The article provides an overview of Chile's blueberry export performance from January to October 2022, revealing a 6% decrease in volume and a 26.72% drop in value compared to the same period in 2021. Despite these declines, blueberries remain the country's fourth most exported fresh fruit. To mitigate the effects of increased export costs and logistical issues, producers have begun to export more frozen blueberries, which resulted in a 8.6% increase in volume and a 26.1% increase in value. However, the total blueberry export value decreased by 14.82%. The article also highlights regional differences in blueberry production, with O'Higgins and Biobío regions experiencing increases, while Ñuble saw a decrease. The article promotes the XXV International Seminar Blueberries Consulting Chile 2023, an event aimed at bringing together experts in the blueberry industry.
