Between January and May of 2021, Chile's fruit exports saw a slight decrease of 2% in volume but a 4% increase in value, totaling 1.74 million tons and USD 3.982 million FOB. The exports were composed of 84% fresh fruit, 14% processed fruit, and 2% dried fruits. Fresh fruit exports, including cherries, table grapes, and blueberries, increased by 3% in value but decreased by 3% in volume, with China, the US, and the EU being the main markets. Dried nuts exports experienced a 10% increase in volume but a 3% decrease in value, with walnuts being the most exported product. Processed fruit exports also saw an increase of 5% in volume and 10% in value, led by frozen fruits and juices.
