According to data from the Import and Export Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's vegetable export turnover reached approximately 380.9 million USD, an increase of 13.9% compared to the same period last year. Notably, chilies continued to lead both in scale and growth rate. The export turnover of chilies reached nearly 102 million USD, up 20.1% year-on-year and at its highest level in many years. Converted to Vietcombank exchange rate, the export value of chilies is equivalent to nearly 2,650 billion VND. This result helps chilies become the largest item in the vegetable group, accounting for nearly 27% of the total vegetable export turnover in the first 11 months.
