The traders specify that the batches are about 60 thousand tons, and the deliveries will be made in the first half of the year, mainly from January to March-April. Estimates by other traders, however, point to barley supplies of at least 10-15 ships, or up to 900,000 tons. The assumptions are that it is forage and not malting barley. Traders, however, do not expect China to continue active purchases of French barley products, mainly because of the increase in its prices and the New Year holidays in China.
