Vietnam has been issued nearly 1,000 growing area codes for exporting fresh fruits and vegetables to countries such as the US, Australia, Japan, Korea, and China. However, China has suspended the export of mango from 12 growing regions and 18 packing facilities due to violations of phytosanitary regulations. The Plant Protection Department of Vietnam is emphasizing the need for better management and supervision of these codes to avoid such violations and maintain the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market. The Department is also urging localities to assign specific staff to manage and supervise planting areas and packing establishments, and to actively build inspection plans to report violations promptly.
