The first domestic hop harvester and hop dryer was created there; the region has a "golden collection" of hop varieties, numbering about 250 samples (there are only three such collections in the world), which is supported by the Chuvash Research Institute of Agriculture (Chuvash Research Institute of Agriculture), reports the Chuvash branch of the FSBI "Center for Agroanalytics". According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, in 2020, 185.1 tons of hops were produced in agricultural organizations and large peasant (farm) farms of the Chuvash Republic (first place in Russia), which is 4.6% higher than in 2019. The crop yield increased by 9.8% and settled at the level of 18.6 centners / ha - this is the second result in the history of the region's agro-industrial complex after 2007, the agrarian department of the republic notes.
