Indonesia: Cisadane Sawit Raya (CSRA) positively welcomes lower palm shell export duty rates

PT Cisadane Sawit Raya Tbk (CSRA) welcomes the government's policy to reduce the export duty rate for palm kernel shells in the form of flakes and powder with particle sizes above 50 mesh to a range of US$ 3 to US$ 13 per metric ton. The policy is regulated in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 1/PMK.010/22 concerning the Third Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 13/PMK.010/2017 concerning Stipulation of Exported Goods Subject to Export Duties and Export Duty Tariffs. Based on data from the Ministry of Trade, most of the world's palm shell production is in Indonesia. Exports of Indonesian palm shell products in January to September 2021 have reached US$ 286 million, or an increase of 27.01 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
