Piracicaba, 06 – Even with the sluggish demand, orange pear prices remain firm in the São Paulo table market. This is because, in addition to the intensification of crushing at the processors, the supply in the fields has been compromised by the weather, which is also harming the caliber and appearance of the oranges. Thus, the highest quality fruits are valued, with the pear being traded at an average of R$ 37.35/box of 40.8 kg, on the tree, this week (02 to 06/08), an increase of 4.0% compared to to the previous one.
