The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association, in collaboration with Ege University Fisheries Faculty, has determined the nutritional values for sea bass, sea bream, Turkish salmon, and trout species used in aquaculture exports. The association also highlighted that aquaculture is a crucial source of protein, especially with the expected increase in global population. The industry is moving towards a low-carbon economy and is subject to an upcoming carbon tax on exports. The association is implementing projects to reduce the carbon emission of the aquaculture sector and increase public consumption of fish.
