A project in Uşak aims to reduce calf deaths by turning colostrum, the first milk from cows, into powdered form while preserving its nutritional value. The Uşak Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry successfully freeze-dried and powdered colostrum without losing its nutritional value using "freeze drying" technology. The powdered colostrum is now being mass-produced and made available to livestock breeders across the country, potentially saving millions of calves and contributing to the Turkish economy.
