Overcoming the Worst... Duck Industry Stretches for a New Leap I sincerely congratulate the 44th anniversary of the Agricultural, Fishery, and Livestock Newspaper. I deeply appreciate the newspaper's executives and staff who have thoroughly understood the difficulties of livestock and the duck industry and shared them with the public. Since taking office as the association president, I have been deeply concerned about the duck industry in crisis. The occurrence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) during winter has made our industry even more challenging. Nevertheless, duck industry workers will do their best to provide the public with a stable duck meat supply. The entire livestock industry is experiencing a difficult time due to exchange rate surges, international grain price increases, and economic recession.
