Amaggi and Inpasa have confirmed the creation of a joint venture for the construction of at least three corn ethanol plants in the state of Mato Grosso. The investment marks a new step in the companies' strategy to add value to the production chain, focusing on the industrialization of commodities and the advancement of the biofuels sector. The partnership is expected to combine Amaggi's experience in grain origination and logistics with Inpasa's expertise, the largest national producer of corn ethanol and a reference in the area. Each of the new plants will have an initial capacity to process about 2 million tons of corn per year. The first unit will be built in Rondonópolis, while two other cities, Campo Novo do Parecis and Querência, are in the advanced stages of study to host the ventures.
