With the aim of increasing the availability and natural regulation of water in the high Andean areas, as well as strengthening family agriculture, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), through Agro Rural, delivered 11 reservoirs and five qochas in the Junín region, benefiting more than 2900 agricultural producers from the provinces of Huancayo, Concepción, Jauja, and Tarma. The delivery of this water infrastructure was led by the Vice Minister of Family Agricultural Development, Agrarian Infrastructure, and Irrigation of Midagri, Orlando Hernán Chirinos Trujillo, who highlighted that these works are part of the sector's policy aimed at ensuring access to water for agricultural and livestock production, especially in areas most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
