REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Coordinating Ministry for Foodstuffs has set the food commodity balance for 2026, including the import of 3.12 million tons of raw industrial sugar and 17,090 tons of industrial meat to ensure the supply certainty for the industrial sector. Deputy for Coordination of Trade and Food Distribution of the Coordinating Ministry for Foodstuffs Tatang Yuliono conveyed the decision after a coordination meeting in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/12/2025). The meeting also discussed the balance of fishery products for industrial needs. "For consumption, there is no import," said Tatang. Tatang mentioned that the import quota for industrial meat of 17,090 tons was agreed upon, taking from the determination of 297,090 tons discussed in the meeting.
