Corn market has few incentives

In Rio Grande do Sul, the lack of concrete incentives continues to hinder the progress of corn negotiations, maintaining a limited spot environment, according to information from TF Agroeconômica. "The corn market in Rio Grande do Sul remains little dynamic, with negotiations restricted to occasional purchases by small industries and cooperatives, even with references between R$ 58.00 and R$ 72.00/sack (sack 60kg)," comments the consultancy. The corn market in Santa Catarina continues without reaction, marked by strong divergence between producers and industries. "The asking prices remain close to R$ 80.00/sack, while the offers remain around R$ 70.00/sack, preventing any progress in negotiations. In the Planalto Norte, the few deals still occur between R$ 71.00 and R$ 75.00/sack, reinforcing the slow pace in the state," completes TF.
