According to the weekly analysis by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), released on Monday (9), in January 2026 the commercialization of the 2024/25 corn crop in Mato Grosso reached 92.36% of production. Corn negotiations available in the state advanced 4.07 percentage points in the month, but at a slower pace than observed between November and December 2025. According to Imea, the slowdown is associated with the devaluation of the cereal in the state market, which in January registered a decline of 5.43%, with an average price of R$ 45.68 per sack. In the case of the 2025/26 crop, Imea's survey pointed to a monthly advance of 2.77 percentage points in January, totaling 32.00% of the volume already commercialized. Regarding the price of future corn, there was a monthly drop of 3.61%, with an average of R$ 44.29 per sack.
