A recent survey by Embrapa has shown a monthly increase in the cost of pork production in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, while there was a slight decrease in Paraná. Despite this, the costs have decreased compared to the same period last year. However, pig farmers are still suffering losses as the prices they receive for commercialization are lower than the cost of creation. In Rio Grande do Sul, the loss is over 22%, in Paraná it is 2.2%, and in Santa Catarina, it is 17.8%.
