Costa Rican fruit and vegetable entrepreneurs, along with PROCOMER officials, have visited the Port of Algeciras to bolster commercial ties established in 2015. The Port has served as a significant gateway for Costa Rican exports, particularly pineapples and bananas, to Spain, accounting for 43% of total exports to the country. The visit aims to further strengthen this relationship and explore opportunities for expanding trade with Southern Europe and North Africa. The business program includes tours of facilities such as the Total Terminal International Algeciras (TTI Algeciras) container terminal and the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL), with participation from various Costa Rican and Port of Algeciras businesses.
