Cotton production in the US is expected to drop 2.87%

Cotton seeding in the United States has reached 92% of the projected area for the 2025/26 crop as of June 22, according to the report from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The data represents a 7 percentage point increase compared to the previous week. According to the weekly analysis by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), the current pace is 1 percentage point below that recorded in the same period last year and 3 percentage points lower than the five-year average.
