The Saudi government has permitted the importation of poultry products from Thailand, including chicken meat, eggs, and chicken products, following a ban since 2004. The Saudi Food and Drug Administration has approved 11 Thai factories, including five owned by CPF, for the export of these products. CPF ensures food safety and adheres to Halal standards, a move expected to boost Thai broiler industry exports. Saudi Arabia, with a population of 35.6 million and high food import rates, presents a significant market for these products. CPF has a long history of exporting processed chicken to the country and plans to resume exports from March or April. The company's factories have been inspected since 2019 to ensure compliance with Saudi standards.
