The Ministry of Agriculture has reported significant price increases for various vegetables due to increased heating costs. Imported cucumbers have seen a 100% increase in price, with Bulgarian greenhouse cucumbers nearly a lev more expensive. Imported tomatoes have increased by 54%, and Bulgarian tomatoes by 75%. Potatoes and cabbage have also seen price increases of 46% and 75% respectively. The rise in prices is due to the high heating costs, leading fewer in the sector to bet on winter production.
