In May 2024, Ukraine saw an 8% increase in dairy product exports from the previous month and a 14% increase from May 2023, totaling 11.33 thousand tons and worth 24.53 million dollars. The majority of these exports, 94%, were to Moldova. From January to May 2024, Ukraine's dairy product exports increased by 35% in volume and 5% in revenue compared to the same period in the previous year. Notably, there was a significant increase in the export of milk and non-condensed cream, as well as whey and serums, with most of these exports also going to Moldova. However, there was a decrease in the export of buttermilk and cheese, with the majority of cheese exports going to Kazakhstan, despite competition from Russian imports. Additionally, the export of ice cream saw a significant increase in both volume and revenue in May 2024.
