More than seven years of crisis continue to develop at Lácteos Verónica. However, this extensive situation began to become more complex in March and has over 700 workers on edge, spread across plants in Suardi, Lehmann, and Clason, in the province of Santa Fe, as well as offices in Buenos Aires. The crisis now has a turning point.
On Thursday, the staggered payment of May salaries for all personnel was completed, just to pave the way for clarifying an exceptionally deteriorating situation, which in addition to the debt of June wages and the mid-year bonus, includes pending social security contributions.
Meanwhile, other debts continue to grow, with more than 2,000 million pesos in rejected checks given to dairy farmers, with an accumulated debt of 8,000 million pesos owed to different financial entities, according to the Central Bank.
