The Thai government, through the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM), has initiated a project aimed at enhancing the value of fruit production and boosting the competitiveness of farmers and SMEs involved in fruit processing. This initiative, known as DIPROM Fruit Creation, focuses on the development of mango, guava, and avocado fruits for both local and international markets. In the first nine months of 2022, Thai fruit exports experienced a significant growth, with processed fruit products seeing a particularly high increase. The project also includes knowledge transfer and skills training in fruit processing across 14 provinces, with plans to select 15 trainees to further support their entry into the agro-processing industry.
