Bolivia: Demand for pork rises 35% and La Llajta supplies the entire western region

Demand for pork has grown 35% in recent weeks. Most of the main dishes served at end-of-year social events have this meat as the main ingredient. Therefore, the demand is greater, explained the administrator of the Association of Swine Breeders with Health Registration (Adepor-CO-RS), Lourdes Guarachi. He estimated that in recent days there has been at least 35% more pork sales. However, internal supply is guaranteed. Through a statement, the Departmental Association of Swine Breeders and the Agricultural Chamber of Cochabamba also guaranteed the supply of this meat for the end of the year festivities.
