Detection of the yellow nervous chlorosis virus in citrus fruits from the Valencian Community

The Farmers' Union has warned of the presence of the citrus sudden death virus in citrus fruits in the Valencian Community and asks the Department of Agriculture to report on its detection and the measures it will take to strengthen phytosanitary surveillance. The organization reports that the first surveys carried out in citrus-growing areas reveal that it has already been detected in our territory. It should be noted that it was already located in September of last year in Catalonia in a lemon tree located in an orchard and in a specimen located in an urban garden, through analysis carried out by the official plant health laboratory of that autonomous community and subsequently ratified by the National Reference Laboratory.
