Donau Soja, an organization that promotes sustainable soy production in Europe, has refuted claims by Germany’s agriculture cooperative representatives, the Deutscher Raiffeisenverband (DRV), and the German Association for Animal Nutrition (DVT), that the supply of EU GMO-free raw materials has been significantly hindered by the war in Ukraine. The organization claims that there is enough soybean meal in Europe until the next harvest and expects a harvest of nearly 10 million tons this year, with 7 million tons being non-GMO. They also expect a 10-15% increase in soy in the EU this year.
