Brazilian soybean production in the 2025/26 season is expected to reach 178.76 million tons, representing a 4% growth compared to the previous crop, which totaled 171.84 million tons, according to an estimate by consultancy Safras & Mercado. In September, the forecast was slightly higher, at 180.92 million tons. The survey points to a 1.4% increase in the planted area, which will rise from 47.64 million to 48.31 million hectares. The average national productivity is expected to rise from 3,625 kilograms per hectare to 3,719 kilograms per hectare. The adjustment in estimates is mainly concentrated in the Center-North of the country, in the Matopiba region, due to irregular rainfall, planting delays, and the prospect of lower production potential.
