Fishermen in Düzce, Turkey, are experiencing a decrease in anchovy supply, leading to higher prices, while an abundance of bonito is driving down its prices. Other fish such as red mullet, whiting, and horse mackerel are also available but in smaller quantities, resulting in higher prices. Fisherman Tuncay Kılıç expects that anchovy will always be in short supply when bonito is plentiful, but it will still find a place on the counters at lower prices.
