In Mersin, Turkey, farmer Halit Taner has started the apricot harvest season in early greenhouses, overcoming agricultural frosts in other provinces. The first batch of apricots, priced between 80 and 100 TL per kilogram, were sold locally and also exported to Qatar and Dubai. This harvest also includes loquats, with prices similar to apricots. The quality of the early season fruits is reported to be high, and they are primarily sold in major cities and tourism regions within Turkey.
