This year's Easter meal in Bulgaria is shaping up to be more expensive than last year's by about 11 percent, according to observations by experts from the Institute of Social and Trade Union Research and Training (ISSORT) at the CSB. According to a study provided to BTA by economic analyst Teodora Pachedjieva and researcher Momchil Dimitrov, the price of lamb meat is a major factor in the increase in holiday costs. The growth is about 20 percent on a yearly basis - from about 26 BGN per kilogram in April 2025 to 15.99 euros per kg this year.
