Ecuador's shrimp exports fell 12% year-on-year in October 2024

Ecuador's agricultural exports to China and the US have seen a decline, with a 13% drop in October and a 10% decrease year-on-year for China, and a 26% drop in October but a 4% increase year-on-year for the US. In contrast, exports to the EU have increased, with notable growth to France, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Portugal. Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Lithuania are the largest importers of Ecuador's agricultural products in the EU. Additionally, Ecuador is diversifying its markets by increasing exports to Taiwan, Japan, the UAE, and Morocco.
