That dollar amount results from a 41.4% increase compared to $26.3 billion five years earlier during 2021. Year over year, the total value of Ecuadorean exports grew by 7.9% from $34.4 billion in 2024. Note that, since March 9, 2000, Ecuador adopted the US dollar as its legal currency.
