The General Assembly of the Aegean Sea Products and Animal By-products Exporters' Association was held within the framework of the Aegean Exporters' Associations. In the election, which was conducted with a single list, Ufuk Atakan Demir, the representative of More Sea Products Trade Inc., was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors with 34 votes. Presidency duties transferred Bedri Girit, who has been carrying out the presidency duties since 2018, transferred the duties to Demir, while continuing to be a member of the board of directors in the new term. Export performance and sector evaluation Speaking at the general assembly, Bedri Girit drew attention to the export performance of the association, stating that the Aegean Exporters' Associations achieved a total export of 18.5 billion dollars. He expressed that the association is the second highest exporter after the iron and steel sector. Girit pointed out that there are some export bans in the poultry sector and restrictions on products such as milk powder and butter, stating that this situation has negative effects on the sector.
