According to Lipetskstat, as of December 31, 2025, the livestock herd in the Lipetsk region totaled 106.1 thousand heads, including 39.9 thousand cows. The main part of the cattle was kept in agricultural organizations—74.5 thousand heads, or 70.3% of the total livestock. In households, the number of livestock was 21.9 thousand heads (20.6%), in peasant (farmer) farms—9.7 thousand heads (9.1%). The pig herd in the region totaled 760.5 thousand heads, which is 3.8% less than the previous year. Almost all pigs were kept in agricultural organizations—743.1 thousand animals (97.7% of the total number). There were 15.1 thousand pigs (2.0%) in households, and 2.3 thousand (0.3%) in farmer farms. The number of sheep and goats was 56.4 thousand heads (7.9% less than the previous year). Households accounted for 86.1% of the total number (48.6 thousand heads), farmer farms—6.0% (3.4 thousand heads), and agricultural organizations—7.9%.
