Embrapa Amapá is set to inaugurate a system for treating effluents and recycling water for aquaculture cultivation of tambaqui, pirarucu, tracajá, and Amazon shrimp, funded by a parliamentary amendment from Congresswoman Aline Gurgel to the tune of R$ 80 thousand. The system, located at Embrapa Amapá's headquarters in Macapá, will use advanced filters and decantation boxes for efficient treatment of fish farm waste. This initiative, a significant investment of R$ 200 thousand from Aline Gurgel, aims to promote environmentally sustainable practices, improve water efficiency, and support the productive efficiency of aquaculture operations, serving as a Technological Reference Unit for other producers in Amapá.
