DATAGRO Grãos has predicted that the planted area for soybeans in Brazil for the 2023/24 season will increase for the 17th year in a row, reaching 45.520 million hectares, a 1.9% rise from the previous season. Despite this, the projected area is slightly lower than the initial planting intention. The consultancy also expects a slight increase in productivity, but severe losses are still anticipated, resulting in a production estimate of 147.963 million tons, marking an 8.0% decrease from the record harvest of 2022/23.
