Greece: EVOL and Gala Elass request a support plan for Thessalian livestock farming

For the implementation of a plan to support livestock farming in Thessaly, the Regional Governor of Thessaly Dimitris Kouretas discussed with the administrations of the EVOL and Gala Elass cooperatives. At the meeting, which was a continuation of the working meeting that the Regional Governor had with cooperatives members of ETHEAS in Thessaly, the following issues were raised by the livestock cooperatives: Gala Elass Cooperative: Creation of a center for genetic improvement of dairy sheep in Thessaly. Support of meat-producing sheep farming, development of models of intensive breeding of meat-producing sheep in Greece.
